While the release date for Bungie’s Destiny 2 isn’t until September 2017, the beta starts later this month. Both the PS4 and Xbox One Destiny 2 open beta will start on July 21st and runs until July 23rd. For those who pre-ordered the title, they’ll get access a bit sooner. Sadly, this beta access is only for the PS4 and Xbox One. So if you were hoping for the PC beta, that won’t be starting as of yet and there is no announced date for that. Included in this beta will be the opening mission, Homecoming, which you’ve likely already seen In addition to the story-driven content will be a co-op and competitive game modes to enjoy.
Destiny 2 will be released on September 6, 2017, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC release date will be handled later, on October 24th to be exact. Keep in mind that the PlayStation 4 will get access to timed exclusive content, such as a co-op strike, armor sets, weapons and a multiplayer map. Xbox and PC editions will get access to that content in about one year (2018).
