We’re about a month away from E3, also known as the Electronic Entertainment Expo, and with that will come some of the biggest gaming announcements and reveals of the year. While it may sound bias, it’s fair to say that Nintendo may just have the biggest spotlight on them at this years conference.
This is simply because of the amazing success (so far) of the Nintendo Switch. It’s already sold millions of consoles, and already has games crossing the million seller mark and beyond in just a few months, and who knows what other records it’ll break by the time we get to the second week of June.
To that end, Nintendo has revealed via their Twitter feed what they plan on doing during E3. First up, on June 13th they’ll have a special “Spotlight” where they’ll reveal more about Nintendo Switch titles, including Super Mario Odyssey. Basically, this will be the digital reveal event that Nintendo has done the last few years that’s very much in line with their Nintendo Directs.
Right after the Spotlight, they’ll go straight into a Nintendo Treehouse Live Event where they’ll show off many of the games that have been revealed and talk to developers about other games and announcements.
Finally, on the 13th and the 14th you’ll be able to watch special tournaments for Splatoon 2 and Arms.
Nintendo has promised that this E3 will be big for both the Switch and the 3DS, it’ll be interesting to see what gets revealed.
