All right, folks, it’s time to settle down. We’ve waited long enough and as of tomorrow, May 17th, we’ll finally get to see some gameplay of the upcoming Destiny 2. Bungie will be hosting a live-stream event that starts tomorrow at 10AM PDT/1PM EDT), and everyone will be able to catch the fun at either the official website or their Twitch Stream.
For me, I’m interested in several things; What changes will there be from the original Destiny, how does the PC version look and most importantly, some clarification on the beta. I know it was mentioned that the PlayStation 4 would get the extra content sooner than the Xbox One and PC. However, there’s been a bit of confusion in regards to the beta. On the PC front, are we looking at a port of the console or will it include PC-centric options and functionality? And what about cross-play or cross-saves? Will any of the systems support some sort of cross play, just like Gears of War 4 (Xbox One/PC) or Street Fighter V (PS4/PC)? Can’t forget about the frame rate either. Will this be 1080p/900p @60fps, unlike the original that ran at 30fps?
Geez, I guess I had more questions than I realized, huh?
Honestly, I can’t wait for this stream to start. I used to dabble in Destiny on the PS4, but over time it just didn’t interest me anymore. Between several PC MMORPG’s, I just didn’t have the time. Now that I play zero MMORPGs anymore, and The Division was a complete bust (sorry, but it was), I’m looking forward to Destiny 2. Hopefully, it will scratch that itch that is my desire to play a team-based, action-RPG.
So you better believe I’ll be watching tomorrow, and so should you.
Destiny 2 is being released on September 8th, 2017, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
