Update 1: Official project logo released. Full press release at the end of the article.
Well, the big announcement wasn’t about Kingdom Hearts 3, after all. Instead, what we got I believe is way better. For a while we’ve heard rumblings about a new Marvel game being developed by an unknown company Now those rumors can be put to rest as Marvel and Square Enix have announced “The Avengers Project”. So far it looks like Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal are attached to the project.

Update 2: Official trailer added:
So what is The Avengers Project? Well, other than the fact that it will space multiple game partnerships, not much really. All we were treated to was some rendered footage which a voice-over. During that footage, we’ve heard samples from several well-known Marvel heroes, in addition to some battle damaged equipment scattered around. Thor’s hammer, Captain America’s shield, one of Iron Man’s gauntlets and possibly Hawkeye’s glasses, can be seen. It seems like the Avengers are no more and this initiative is an attempt to bring the team back together.
That’s about it, so there’s really not much to go on at the moment.
Expect to hear more about this as the info is released.
