While they were originally announced before, Sony never provided a release date for their upcoming Platinum Wireless Headset. In fact, they were originally slated to be released later this year but were pushed back until next year. Earlier today, Sony announced that the headset will now be released on January 12th, 2017, and will be priced at $159.99.
The headset will also work with PCs or any device that accepts a 3.5mm input.
The Platinum Headset will no doubt be high on everyone’s list of gaming goodies and include everything a gamer could want. From the 7.1 virtual surround sound, hidden noise-cancelling microphone, and 50mm drivers, this should be a welcome replacement for the aging PlayStation Gold Headset. The Platinum Wireless Headset is currently available for pre-order now at Bestbuy and Amazon for $159.99.
I think I’m going to pick one up for myself.
