Lost Odyssey has been largely regarded as one of the best RPG’s on the Xbox 360. So what better way to celebrate the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility’s achievement than to have the title be great yet again. As a gesture of Xbox One BC reaching 300 games, Microsoft is providing a free copy of Lost Odyssey for Xbox One users, starting today and up until December 31st, 2016. It wasn’t too long ago that this very title was announced as a Backward Compatability title, which made me hate myself for getting rid of it. Thankfully I found a copy at a local Gamestop, but now it’s free?
Originally released in 2008 for the Xbox 360 in North America, Lost Odyssey was developed by Mistwalker, a legendary game studio made up of many icons in gaming including the creator of Final Fantasy, Hironobu Sakaguchi. Other talents who contributed to Lost Odyssey included the legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu and author Kiyoshi Shigematsu.
Gamers who are interested MUST redeem their free digital copy by December 31st, 2016. Sadly, looks like gamers in China, Turkey and Israel aren’t able to take advantage of this deal for some reason.
