Here I was, all ready to enjoy my 2017 Valentine’s Day with my eagerly awaited Persona 5. Only I, along with the rest of North America, won’t be able to do so as the game is delayed. Yes, it got delayed again. The localized version of Persona 5 just got delayed until April 2017, but there’s a good reason behind this.
Atlus is including dual audio support for the title, meaning the eventual release will have both English and Japanese voices. Per our pal, John Hardin – “We decided that we owed our fans the very best effort to make Persona 5 our gold standard in localization. Practically, this means redoubling our QA and localization efforts, even returning to the studio to record previously unvoiced lines.”

I suppose I can forgive that and seeing how we waited this long, another 2 months won’t hurt. To make up for the delay, John Hardin goes on to mention that there will be a playable demo for Persona 5 that will make an appearance at the 2016 PlayStation Experience. Oh, there’s also a free Persona 5 theme up on the PlayStation Store right now a well.
That’s all nice and all, but we don’t be attending the 2016 PlayStation Experience. So here’s to hoping that this demo will eventually into it in to the hands of everyone else who can’t attend. Maybe we get those Phantom Thieves to help us out with that.
