The long drought of Nintendo news has finally come to its end. Nintendo announced some huge 3DS news that covers its 2016 lineup and some new 2017 titles. You can watch the Nintendo Direct right here if you missed it! The video starts at 26:09.
Fans looking for some huge new 3DS news are in luck!
I’ll be posting more detailed articles on each bit of news shortly, but for those looking for a quick recap here are the highlights.
- Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS Revealed with a December 2nd Release Date.
- Brief Pokemon Update, including the reveal of Alola Ratatta.
- Mario Party: Star Rush launches November 4th, and only one copy is needed to play with friends. Download Play includes every game mode.
- Animal Crossing: New Leaf update adds amiibo compatibility that will be detailed in an all Animal Crossing Direct later this Fall.
- New eShop game Tank Troopers revealed.
- New Legend of Zelda Line of Amiibo. 8-Bit Link, Link, Toon Link and Toon Zelda.
- Hyrule Warriors Legends 3rd DLC Pack: Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. Toon Zelda added as a character, while Toon Link gets the sand rod weapon. Available today!
- Dragon Quest 8 confirmed for 2017, Dragon Quest 7 features new content via Streetpass Dungeons.
- Yokai Watch 2: Bone Spirits and Fleshy Souls launch on September 30th.
- Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice and SMTIV: Apocalypse highlights shown.
- Ever Oasis, shown off at E3, confirmed for 2017. Gameplay footage shown.
- Yoshi’s Wooly World coming to 3DS on February 3rd with new content featuring Poochy! Poochy Yarn amiibo revealed!
- Mario Sports Superstars. New game featuring Soccer (not the Strikers kind though… Boo!), Baseball, Golf, Tennis and… Horse Racing?! Yep, Horse Racing. Coming 2017
- Pikmin side-scroller, featuring Captain Olimar (questionable, Alph is the best captain) unveiled for a 2017 release.
- New Streetpass update that adds new games, one of which is free, available now.
