Balrog’s Coming to Street Fighter V This Friday

By Keith MitchellJune 27, 2016

While Capcom’s latest entry in the Street Fighter series hasn’t been the hit they expected to be, they’re still bringing the heat when it comes to Street Fighter V. Shown last night during the end of the CEO 2016 event, Capcom has announced that everyone’s favorite boxer, no not Dudley, but Balrog, will be making his debut. Set to be released in the June update SFV which will be this upcoming Friday, July 1, 2016.

Update: The official Balrog trailer is up.

Not only does he look beastly as heck, it also seems like he’s gained a step looks to be a bit faster. Even his signature casino stage is making a return and I”m so glad, I loved that stage in Street Fighter 2.  No word if he’ll remain a character character or if he’ll be switched up like Nash and Guile.

But that’s not all, as both Juri (Street Fighter V) and Urien (Street Fighter III) made a brief appearance at the end, meaning we’re getting closer to the release of both of those characters. Only time will tell when we’ll finally get our hands on them, however.
