The Gran Turismo Sport event that is taking place today and tomorrow in London has kicked off with some huge news! Gran Turismo Sport will be released on November 15, 2016. The official announcement can be found here. I did not expect this to be released during 2016 at all. Sony’s Christmas line-up just got that much stronger.
We’re looking at 110 offline events, 19 locations, 37 layouts, 137 cars, all at launch.
It also looks like some of the fan favorite tracks from previous Gran Turismo titles will also be making a return. The game will feature several modes; Arcade Mode, Sport Mode, Livery Editor, Campaign and more. This is definitely more than I expected we would get, especially since this isn’t a full blown Gran Turismo title.
Update: There will be a Gran Turismo Sport Collector’s Edition that will include a model of the Mercedes AMG GTS and a “car lovers guide”.
Expect more info to come during the event and during E3 2016.
19 locations and 27 layouts, including a new Tokyo Express Way based on the highways of Japan. Dirt tracks returning too. #GTSport
