While EA has already announced that they will be hosting an event tomorrow, May 6, at 1PM PT / 4PM ET, it seems they just couldn’t contain their excited. Over at the official Battlefield Twitter account, they’ve posted a 4-second clip that teases what we’re in for as of tomorrow.
While the clip is short, it definitely seems like there’s a lot of easter eggs in it. The person definitely seems to be looking up at something, like perhaps a large aircraft or something really opposing over the horizon. The jacket he is wearing also seems to be from some an old war movie. Could this mean we’re heading back to World War II? Who’s to say. But one thing is for sure is that EA and Dice is expecting everyone to be blown away by the official announcement.
Could we also see yet another new game engine? Typically, EA likes to roll out a new version of their Frostbite engine alongside a new Battlefield game. it’s also been 3 years since the Frostbite engine 3 was released, so it’s a possibility.
