Last week, Microsoft held a super secret event, well it wasn’t so secret that we didn’t know about it however the news of the event was under an embargo until today. And while there’s tons of other stuff left to be revealed, it’s nice to see what’ been announced so far. It was speculated for a while that a Forza Motorsports title was going to make it’s way over to the PC/Windows 10 platform, however no we have confirmation. The title will be released sometime in Spring 2016 and for free.
“We are 100 percent committed to the PC-gaming space,” said Phil Spencer, who leads Microsoft’s Xbox group. “That is a long-term commitment from us.”
However in a strange turn of fate, Microsoft and Turn 10 have instead announced that Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, will be making it’s way to Windows 10 as a free to play title. Yes, it is a Windows 10 only game, however Xbox One owners shouldn’t fee left out as this was made clear that this is a slimmed down version of the actual Forza Motorsport 6 and will include 20 exciting track configurations across six locations – Brands Hatch, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Rio de Janeiro, Sebring International Raceway, Top Gear and Yas Marina – including night and wet-weather variants. In addition the game will not include any existing DLC or micro-transactions from the full game.
