I don’t know if should be disappointed with Turn 10, especially after they stated earlier this year that Forza Motorsport 6 would not sport any micro-transactions or just expect it as the norm anymore. Yep, that’s right folks, Forza Motorsport 6 now has micro-transactions in the form of tokens that you can buy with real life currency. The tokens will allow gamers to purchase both cars and in-game boosts and the prices range anywhere from $2.99 and up to $100.
- 100 Forza 6 Tokens – $0.00
- 325 Forza 6 Tokens – $2.99
- 1250 Forza 6 Tokens – $9.99
- 575 Forza 6 Tokens – $4.99
- 1250 Forza 6 Tokens – $9.99
- 2700 Forza 6 Tokens – $19.99
- 8000 Forza 6 Tokens – $49.99
- 20000 Forza 6 Tokens – $99.99
Tokens first made an appearance in Turn 10’s first Xbox One racing title, Forza Motorsport 5. However after much feedback from the Forza community, the decision to not include tokens in Forza Motortsport 6 was made and per Turn 10, the only way the tokens would return is if the community asked for it. And last time I checked, they definitely didn’t ask for it. We’ve followed up with Turn 10 to see why the sudden about face and if we get a reply, we’ll update the story.
What do you think about the stance change regarding micro-transactions in Forza Motorsports 6? Do you agree with the change or are you against it?
