It is with a heavy heart that we have to report that Miyu Matsuki has passed away at the age of 38 from illness.
Talent Agency 81 made the announcement on Monday that Matsuki had passed back on October 27, 2015. Matsuki herself announced back in July that she was taking a hiatus due to health issues, namely accute pneumonia, in which she was receiving treatment for. The pneumonia started as a fever that refused to break in the beginning of the year and was diagnosed when she made a trip to the hospital.
Matsuki was best known for playing Ku-ko in Haiyore! Nyaruko-san, Isumi Saginomiya in Hayate the Combat Butler, Magical Sapphire in Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, and Anna Nishikinomia in Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai. She has also performed theme songs for a number of anime series including Haiyore! Nyaruko-san, Love Love?, and Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei.
We here at The Outer Haven extend our condolences, thoughts, and prayers to the Matsuki family during this difficult time.
