Gamespot pointed out earlier today that there is a slew of job openings being posted on the website for WB Games Montreal. The studio is most noted for having worked on Batman: Arkham Origins. The list of positions ranges from artists to programmers, directors and analysts. Key phrases in the job descriptions include “working on a new IP project for next generation game platforms… designing and driving development of specific features or systems for an open world action game,” and “design, implement and maintain game worlds, systems and NPCs.”
No official announcement has been made as of yet, and quite frankly it would be poor timing. When you’re having these kinds of launch issues with a game as big as Arkham Knight, the last thing WB wants to talk about is a new game they’re working on (the Internet does not care if it’s another studio entirely). That fiasco aside, it will be interesting to see whether WB will be tackling an entirely new IP, or if they will be pulling a franchise they have rights to into the gaming world. I’m calling it right now: Harry Potter is getting the Arkham treatment.
