Well Microsoft did say they were going to give us an adapter that would finally allow us to use the Xbox One controller for Windows. And they have delivered it. Coming later “this fall” the Xbox Wireless Adapter will be available for use on devices running Windows 10, no Windows 7/8 or at least not mentioned as of yet. No longer will you be tethered to your PC via a Micro-usb cable.
The adapter will only work on PC’s that have Windows 10 installed and either a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port and will be available to pick up for $24.99 or in a Xbox One wireless controller bundle for $79.95. The adapter should be available around the Q3/Q4 2015. If this works as well as the Xbox 360 controller adapter then I’m pretty sure this is going to make a lot of PC gamers, yours included, very happy.
Can’t wait to get one or two for my PCs.
