Bethesda has announced a standalone prequel to Wolfenstein: The New Order. The prequel will follow The New Order’s main character, B.J. Blazkowicz, and his journey on a 2-part adventure to stop the Nazi war machine.
Developed by the same studio, we are taken back to 1946 where Blazkowicz is sent to Bavaria. Part one of the standalone prequel, titled Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves, will have you return to the classic Castle Wolfenstein and battle a “mechanical prison warden.” Part two, titled The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs, will have the prequel end on a mission to Wulfburg where, “obsessed Nazi archaeologist is exhuming mysterious artifacts that threaten to unleash a dark and ancient power.”
The standalone prequel will be available for download on May 5, for $20, on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Look for more info on The Old Blood at PAX East.
