Over the weekend, at the Mobile World Congress in Spain, Samsung officially announced the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. This time around it looks like Samsung has succumbed to peer pressure.
Both phones are running the new Android 5.0 Lollipop and have the same 5.1 inch display. The Edge this time; however, has both sides curved instead of just one. The main difference with the new models compared to the old, is a full metal and glass body, similar to the iPhones. This has resulted in a non-removable battery, no microSD card, and no waterproofing. Some features that iPhones don’t have are standard wireless charging compatibility (as reported here prior to the official announcement) and a new Gear VR virtual reality accessory.
Some of the changes include a new chipset, a quick camera launch feature, improvements to the fingerprint scanner, a quick charging feature, and improvements to the camera. For a full preview of the new phones, look to C-Net.
