If there is anything that can get me out of hiatus, it will be Persona news! ATLUS recently streamed on Nico Nico Douga, teasing us with information regarding Persona 4: Dancing All Night and Persona 5. The wait is finally over! We finally get to see gameplay trailers for both games!
Persona 4: Dancing All Night
Let’s get to the dance party first eh?
We hear the main theme song of Dancing All Night, which is not surprisingly called “Dance.” It features vocals by Lotus Juice and Shihoko Hirata.
The first PV of the game was shown during the stream. Here, we get to see all the songs that will be remixed. They also introduce some of the artists that will remix the tunes. This includes Akira Yamaoka of Silent Hill fame! In addition to this news, it was revealed that the Persona 4 cast is playable. Now you can play with Nanako, Yukiko Amagi, Chie Satonaka, Youske Hanamura , Kanji Tatsumie and Naoto Shirogane. Might I say, Naoto is looking good! Plus, Teddie got in touch with his inner Elvis. There will be a CD soundtrack and DLC packs available for those who pre-order . ATLUS will have a limited edition, which includes a Vita skin, similar to Golden’s limited edition. Finally, first print copies will include a Blue Ray disc of Persona 5! However it’s unknown what the contents will be.
This makes me almost want to get a Vita. Almost.
Persona 5
Now the one you’ve been waiting for, Persona 5.
This is very Lupin-esque and another great thief entry. It seems that being a thief or vigilante is the focus of the game. You’re a normal kid by day and a master thief by night. Gameplay shown seems fast paced and open-world focused. Also, we see a focus on the cat, which appears to be the mascot of this entry. They also previewed the menu system which turns out to be very stylish.
Portraits were clearly influenced from the Arena fighting games. Finally, the last seconds of the trailer gets you on edge. Is it a Persona invocation, or Shadow invocation because of his eyes?
What really caught my eye from the trailer is the new Velvet Room. Igor makes his return, and the new Velvet Room appears to be a jail or prison. The twins dressed in warden’s clothing are the new assistant of Igor. Just when Elizabeth, Margaret, and Theodore weren’t bad enough. I’m scared and can only imagine the power they have and how they relate to the other siblings.
All I can say is: GIVE IT TO ME NOW!
