Mario vs. Donkey Kong Tipping Stars recently revealed itself as Nintendo’s first cross buy title. Meaning, purchasing the game on either the Wii U or the Nintendo 3DS will allow buyers to unlock the game on the other systems. This concept is familiar to PlayStation and XBox owners, with many digital titles offering the cross buy feature. Joining the cross buy frenzy is OlliOlli.
OlliOlli was originally released on the PlayStation Vita, with a follow-up cross buy added in months later allowing PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 owners to play the games on their console if they wished. It was then released on Steam for PC users. Developed by Roll7, OlliOlli is a indie twitch based skating game. Boasting exciting levels and over 120 skate tricks, OlliOlli was well received and already has a sequel, OlliOlli2 being worked on for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
OlliOlli will be released on the Nintendo eShop on March 5th for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U owners, while XBox One owners can grab the game a day later on March 6th (no crossbuy for XBox 360/XBox One).
