Oh boy, if it isn’t more of perhaps my favorite gaming series. Announced not to long again is Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin, which is an updated version of Dark Souls 2, with updated graphics, a new NPC, new enemies and of course a new story (YES)! Oh and it will also mark the first time that the Dark Souls series showing on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. And yes this rumored for some time so I’m happy to see that this is actually happening, especially for those who picked up a new system but never had the chance to play this game.

What’s more is the game will also release with the previously released DLC for Dark Souls 2 (Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, Crown of the Ivory King) and “additional exclusive enhancements”, whatever that may be. And what if you already own Dark Souls 2 you ask? Well FROMSOFTWARE has also announced Dark Souls 2 patch 1.10 that will add “an additional NPC to seek out along the treacherous quest through Drangleic as well as expanded story, in-game events, improved balance, and online matchmaking functionality.”
Sadly the patch will add the enhancements that will come with Scholar of the First Sin, for either console of the PC versions, so it will be up to you to decided if you’re willing to put the down the cash for an updated version of Dark Souls 2.
Me? I’m already throwing my money at my PC screen and if you’re a fan of the series then you should be too. Though this also means that it will come out after the PlayStation 4 exclusive of Bloodborne, what game are you playing at FROMSOFTWARE?
Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin will be released on April 7th, 2015 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
