I gotta hand it to Arc System Works as they’ve made Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- look amazing. The movements are fluid and the character designs once again are fantastic. A departure from the tried and true formula of Guilty Gear, this time around the characters, backgrounds, and effects are all rendered in full 3D on top of cel-shaded animations instead of sprites. I followed the game but I wasn’t really that excited for it, well consider that changed.
Built using the Unreal Engine 3, GGXrd -SIGN- will be available for both the PlayStation 3 and 4 and is already playable in arcades, though there will be no cross-play for the any of the platforms.
Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- will be available on consoles sometime in the Fall of 2014.
